Community

NewGen Power Kwinana has a dual impact: powering Western Australia and contributing to local economic growth.

During construction, the power station brought in an estimated $100 million and created over 300 jobs. After joining the South West Interconnected System (SWIS) in 2008, the station now reliably employs around 27 Western Australians full-time.

NewGen Power Kwinana proudly collaborates with the Kwinana Industries Council’s Education Development Program. This initiative provides regional high school students practical career insights into the local industrial sector. The station actively supports the program, helping to expand local youth employment prospects. You can learn more about the program here.

Environmentally, the station follows high standards to manage the impact of operations. More information can be found here.
